Education

Attended B.C. Rain High School 1970-71. Entered Mobile College during summer between junior and senior year under accelerated program. Skipped senior year to continue college studies.

Attended Mobile College from June 1971 to June 1974. Graduated with B.S. degree in June 1974. Majors were Biology and Mathematics with a Chemistry minor.

Attended University of South Alabama from 1975 to 1980. All classes were at Dauphin Island Sea Lab and earned a Master's Degree in Marine Science.

Attended University of South Alabama from 1999 to 2001. Took classes to earn teacher certification



Experience

Prior to becoming a teacher in the Mobile County Public School System, Mr. Stewart worked for over twenty years as an aquatic biologist. His experience includes environmental impact statement preparation, endangered species surveys, wetland delineations, aquatic organism identifications, and extensive experience in conducting bioassays, toxicity tests, and aquaculture.

Mr. Stewart has also taught as a part-time adjunct professor since 1981. He has taught science classes for the University of Mobile, Faulkner State Community College, Southeast College of Technology, and Faulkner University. He also taught biomedical classes for Mobile Infirmary from 1981 to 1995.

Mr. Stewart started teaching for the MCPSS in 1999 at Bryant High School and has been there ever since.



Bio
Mr. Julian Stewart has lived in Mobile County for over 56 years. He has been married to Lynn James Stewart for over 36 years and has three children (Jessica 28, Emily 25, and Eric 21). Mr. Stewart's favorite three hobbies are fishing, fishing, and fishing, in that order.
