The Alma Bryant Spring Art Show, held during April outside the auditorium, showcased the varied talents of the Art students in Mrs. Darla Wheeler's classes and the Crafts students in Mrs. Ann Rose's classes.
The Best of Show in Art was awarded to Ann Soensteby for her pencil portrait. Najung Kim won 1st Place for her pencil portrait/collage, Kevin Brouillett won 2nd Place for his tucan painting, and Tommy Barbour won 3rd Place for his fish and seaweed drawing. Honorable Mentions in Art went to Nic Taylor (purple flowers), Hayley Duke (musical instruments), Ashley Lindsey (chalk portrait), and Ivy Radcliff and Heather Kelso (painted chair).
The Best of Show in Crafts was awarded to David Le for his crab clay whistle. Brittany Jones won 1st Place for her clay composite form, Mary Kranh won 2nd Place for her embellished gourd, and Katherine Pham won 3rd Place for her rug hooked pillow. Honorable Mentions in Crafts went to De De Smith (owl clay whistle), Dinh Bui (calligraphy), Ruth Ann Peters (clay pitcher), Lauren LaForce (clay composite form), and Lakeisha Cox (weaving).
